4 Ways to Prepare Your Home for The Festive Season

With the festive season fast approaching and a thousand and one things to do, we have included a few helpful pointers to make your Christmas a simpler and more enjoyable one. From making your own decorations, to checking your heating system, we’ve got you covered for the holiday season.

1. Making Your Own Decorations

Nothing says festive like a bit of DIY. A great one to do with the kids, there are many guides and how-to’s online for making your own party hats, Christmas wreaths and tree-decorations. So, why not make your house more homely with homemade decorations this year.

2. Check Your Heating System

Admittedly not as fun as the previous point, but an essential one nonetheless. Make sure your boiler has had it’s service before the big day, to prevent any heating emergencies and costly call-outs.

3. Furniture & Room Updates

If you’re having guests over this season, you may want to think about if there is enough room for everyone. There are a few easy ways to do this without even spending a penny, although, if you are thinking about going all out this year, why not take some inspiration from Pinterest – we have a Christmas board here (we couldn’t help ourselves).

4. Stay Safe this Christmas

This time of year is exciting, although there are still a few precautions that should be taken in order to make sure you and your family are safe this Christmas. From ensuring fire and carbon monoxide alarms are working, to switching off and unplugging Christmas lights, being careful too not to overload any electrical circuits – it’s always the most obvious things that many people forget to do.

Not just a sale

I recall working through Flambard Williams to acquire my first property. Having met more real estate agents (over 50). I found them to follow up on everything. All concerns such as location, development company, solicitors, payment reminders were handled by them. They have local knowledge of the areas and are aware of the development and the surrounding. I do wish they also had a unit for London and other cities.

Martyn Taylor and the team at Flambard Williams

Martyn Taylor provided consistently professional service, patience, and professionalism as we negotiated the purchase of an investment property from abroad. His knowledge and expertise are exemplary and I commend him, his colleagues, and the company for their courtesy.
